Phil Neace (Joseph Herald) Phil Neace, a native son of the Kentucky Mountains, has acted in over 30 stage plays, starting with his first starring role as Macbeth. His start in acting began in the Theatre department of Cumberland College, Williamsburg Ky, with director Daniel Nazworth giving him his first instruction. Since then, he has acted in other Shakespearean works, comedies and dramas with his very favorite role being that of the smoking philosopher, Tom, from "The Glass Menagerie". Before this production, his very first film role, he played as the raving director of the hit "Noises Off", produced by The Little Theatre of Hazard, the local community theatre group of his hometown, Hazard Ky. When offered the part of Joe Herald in "Forever in Black Hills", Phil literally was speechless at being part of a film that would show the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and its people in a way much more different than the negative stereo-types that are rampant in most of the nation's views. Although he considers his role among the more meaningful acting parts he has done, the most meaningful performances of his entire career are those acting moments where he performs and partakes in the long mountian tradition of storytelling that he does for his three beautiful children, Chance (7), Michael (6) and his newest angel, his daughter Jade (6 months). Finally, Phil would like to express his most deep founded thanks for Charles Shouse, for offering him his first role in motion pictures (with hopefully more to come), and for his beautiful wife, Heather, for the amazing support that she has shown in his acting from the very beginning. |

Michael Shouse (Steven Herald) Mike Shouse, twin brother of Charles (director/writer), was born and raised in Jackson, KY. After high school Mike attended Morehead State University and received a bachelor's degree in art education. Moving then to Hollywood, he attended G.I.T. (Guitar Institute of Technology). The following year Mike started teaching art in KY and has been teaching for 11 years. Over the last couple of years Mike has pursued his love for music, recording a CD and forming in a band, and playing in KY. Hearing about a Zombie movie that was being shot in the area, Mike met with the producer to investigate the possibility of his working on the score for the film. Upon seeing him, the producer asked if he would be in the movie. With no real interest in acting, he agreed to take a small role in the production. Playing that small role, he fell in love with acting and took some acting classes. At the same time, Mike's brother decided to film a movie from one of his own scripts. Mike landed one of the leading roles and also helped produce the movie. In 2003 he will also be starring in another movie, Dance with a Vampire. Mike hopes to move back to Hollywood to try his hand at acting, or to Nashville to work on his music career. |

Marshall Fields (Anthony
Thomas) While attending college,
Marshall found himself in a relationship he describes as "Jerry
Springerish." Four years and one child later, despite his
fears of raising a child on his own, he and his child's mother
split. A few months later familiar fires began to burn again.
He registered for an acting class where he met Mike Shouse, who
was playing a flesh eating zombie in the soon to be released
"Zombie
Planet". Mike's
brother, Charles Shouse, Director of Forever in Black Hills,
offered Marshall the role of Officer Anthony Thomas. |

Mike Griffith (Jake Gibson) Michael likes playing physical roles as well as roles which allow him to wear makeup appliances. He also realized that special effects actors go through a lot of punishment for a scene but in the end it all pays off. He hopes to do more with George Bonilla as well as Showhouse Productions. Michael is currently working on two scripts of his own and may have a part in the movie "Dance With a Vampire". One of his favorite quotes to help deal with any stress involved in acting is "YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TO MUCH BLOOD". |

Danielle Nicole Wiley (Bonita Thomas) Danielle (Niki) Wiley was born and raised in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She moved to Memphis, Tennessee with her mother in 1994 and graduated from Kirby High School in Memphis in 1996. She currently attends the University of Kentucky and is majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Niki has always wanted to try acting and when the chance came and she was offered the role as Bonita Thomas in this film, she was excited, yet apprehensive, as she had never done any kind of acting before. Hopefully, this will lead to other opportunities for Niki and will be one more accomplishment that she can add to her list on her resume. |
